Psychometric Assessment

Psychometric assessment involves the use of standardized psychological tests to evaluate cognitive abilities, personality traits, occupational interests, and values. These assessments provide objective data to inform career decisions, selection processes, and personal development.

The Assessment Process

  1. Initial Consultation: A discussion to understand the client's needs and determine the appropriate battery of assessments.
  2. Testing Session: Administration of the selected psychometric instruments. This may take several hours, depending on the specific tests required.
  3. Scoring and Interpretation: The practitioner analyzes the results in accordance with standardized procedures.
  4. Feedback Session: A comprehensive discussion of the results, their implications, and practical recommendations.
  5. Written Report: A formal document summarizing the findings and recommendations is provided to the client.

Informed Consent

Written informed consent is a mandatory requirement before any psychometric assessment can commence.

Prior to testing, clients (or their legal guardians, in the case of minors) will be provided with a consent form detailing:

  • The purpose and nature of the assessment.
  • The specific tests to be administered.
  • How the results will be used and who will have access to them.
  • The limits of confidentiality.
  • The associated costs.

Clients have the right to withdraw their consent at any time during the process.
